Technologies

EVO-LAP technology
When manufacturing a Scott frame, the right choice of materials is crucial – 80% of the work is done. But the remaining 20% requires the greatest precision. That’s why Scott uses the highest quality carbon fibers on the market and combines them with specific processes such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to optimally map the carbon layer structure.

With FEA, Scott can simulate various forces on a virtual frame model and adapt the design accordingly. This software enables the creation of complete virtual prototypes that take into account all physical phenomena from the real environment.

Thanks to EvoLap technology, Scott models the frame to optimize the surface area. Tube shapes are simulated using differently oriented carbon layers, the load distribution in different areas is tested and the results of different configurations are analyzed.

The extensive computer modelling has enabled Scott to optimize the carbon layers in all parts of the frame. Assembling the first prototypes resulted in a super light and compact frame, without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefits from EvoLap technology.
